Get involved

Give time. Open your home. Help fund a second chance.

FOAC is a mostly volunteer, community-funded rescue. Whether you make a gift, help in person, or care for an animal at home, your support helps dogs and cats move toward safe, permanent homes.

Volunteer

FOAC relies on volunteers to care for animals, support daily operations, and help dogs and cats find permanent homes.

Ways volunteers help

  • Adoption and community events
  • Animal transportation
  • Kennel care and cleaning
  • Dog socialization and enrichment
  • Administrative support
  • Fundraising and community outreach

Ready to volunteer?

Tell FOAC how you would like to help and when you are generally available. The team will follow up about current needs, any age or supervision requirements, orientation, and next steps.

Foster

Most FOAC animals live in foster homes. By opening your home temporarily, you give an animal stability, care, and time to find the right permanent family.

What fostering involves

  • Provide a safe, secure home
  • Give daily food, water, and care
  • Help with socialization and basic training
  • Observe health and behavior
  • Keep the animal safely contained
  • Stay in contact with FOAC

FOAC covers the cost of care

FOAC covers approved food and veterinary expenses while the animal is in foster care. Send a foster inquiry so the team can learn about your household, experience, availability, and the animals you may be able to help.
